BOLETUS EDULIS
The boletus is the Queen of our mushrooms, which is probably the tastiest mushroom on the Old Continent and is one of the most common wild mushrooms in Bulgaria. It is easy to recognize, good to eat, easy to store and desirable for import from other European countries. High-quality young mushrooms are considered a delicacy and command high prices. The fungus is found in deciduous and coniferous forests. It develops in symbiosis with trees. It is gathered annually in the period May – October together with the duck’s foot in all the mountains.
